Maybe one of the only produced movies by the guy that wrote "Save the Cat." Figured it'd be good as we embark on kid's stuff, so we outlined it up. Outlines and lessons on next page.

Here's the script link, in case we need it for future reference. This is a play about a mom who’s really struggling to stay afloat, and to decide whether or not her cheating husband is worth sticking with. I did not love this play, in fact I hated it, but I think that was probably Mamet’s intention. It’s about a man’s descent into the underbelly of NYC after he leaves his wife, and he just does a series of terrible things. Lessons on next page...
A simple story of an older man falling in love with a younger woman, and the challenges their relationship faces because of skepticism from their families.
Lessons learned on next page... The subtitle of this book is "Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future". Since we consider ourselves entrepeneurs — and by extension consider our writing careers a startup — I figured this would be a valuable read. And I was right. Lessons learned on next page.
This play is a sort of slow-burn, heightened reality character study and disturbing dismantling of a father-daughter dynamic.
I'm a big fan of August: Osage County, but this play kind of let me down. I guess because I don't think it made me feel what it wanted me to feel, and I didn't like what it wanted me to feel. The whole thing about paranoia and drugs and a woman sort of being cannibalized by her love for a man felt sort of trite and boring and like, I just wasn't interested in watching it
