SEQUENCE 1
1931
Psych hospital
Crazed patients kill everyone, including doctor vannacut


News reel footage tells us Vanacutt was conducting horrid experiments on patients


Later footage tells us the hospital was damaged in a fire but later outfitted into a home


We also learn five members of the hospital staff survived the massacre


End sequence on EVELYN in a limo. She watched all that on the TV back there and it delighted her.


SEQUENCE 2
Meet tycoon PRICE at amusement park
Delights in scaring people with his coasters and pranks
Sets up dummies to make guests think coasters are derailing etc.


Sequence ends with Price/Evelyn phone call.


She says she wants to have her birthday party at the place from the videos…


The House on Haunted Hill.


SEQUENCE 3
Price sends guest list for party.
CPU oddly deletes guest list and replaces with others
We meet SARA, the assistant of someone for whom the invitation was meant
Sara gets fired, steals the invite and pretends to be the boss


Procession of Hearses
Leads each of five invitees up to the house as they review the invites
“Survive the night and win $1M.”


SEQUENCE 4
Five guests arrive at house.
EDDIE
MELLISA
SARA
BLACKBURN
They are greeted by Pritchett.
Not clear if Pritchett is for real or not but claims he owns the house.
House gets lit up and Marilyn Manson plays.


Price and wife Evelyn welcome them.
A skylight shatters and almost kills them.
Evelyn is pissed b/c these are NOT her guests she wanted invited.


We learn Price has a guy hiding in a control room that rigged the whole place like a haunted house


Price and Evelyn argue. Who are these guests? They both blame each other.


LATER
Price explains. 1M to anyone who survives the night. If someone dies or leaves their money gets split with the survivors.


Note: Driver PRITCHETT has just been trying to get paid for house rental and leave this whole time


But then the house locks down with the old asylum iron gates to keep patients locked inside.


Pritchett tries to escape. Gets wounded. Tells everyone the house will get them.


Sara says she’s going to find the switch in the basement to open the gates.


Evelyn reveals the coffin is filled with guns.


Sara takes one.


Price talks to Schecter the Control Room Guy…


Schecter reveals he did NOT lower the gates.


Price assumes it was shit wife EVELYN who is fucking with him…


BASEMENT
Sara, Price and caretaker Pritchett look for the switch


Pritchett convinced they will all die


Reveals that his dad died in a creepy locked room


Find electro shock room..


Find saturation chamber room…


Sarah tries to get the lights working


Meanwhile Pritchett finds the switch for the gates


Sara tells Eddie who she really is and tells the story of how she stole her bosses invitation


Turns back and Eddie is missing


LEVER to lift gates has snapped off…


Meanwhile Sara hunts for Eddie…


Sees him in a vat of blood and reaches in for him. But then he shows up behind her, no blood at all.


WTF.


SEQUENCE 5


Pritchett says “the house has marked the two of you” to Eddie and Sara…


Pritchett says they’re fucked


They decide to stick together


Except MELISSA is already off hunting the poltergeist with her camera…


HALLWAY
Basement. Mel finds images of torture in blood in the wall.
The images come to life.


She finds chamber where the doctor died in the intro…


Lowers camera and he’s gone.


Turns around and is attacked by a crazed patient.


They find her camera but not her body.


UPSTAIRS
Review Mel’s footage.
Chaos.


Everyone revolts against Price. Grabs a gun and looks for an exit.


NEXT SEQUENCE
Price consults with Schecter the Control Room Guy.
WTF is happening here?


Grabs Schecter.
Woops. His face is gone.
He left a note that someone else was in the house…


HALLWAY
Sara and Eddit try to break out


Lights go wild


Everyone runs.


Pritchett starts to babble…


Downstairs
They find Evenlyn getting electro shock
She’s dead


ARGUMENT
They turn on each other
No one trusts price
They decide to detain him in the saturdation chamber


SATURATION CHAMBER
Price is left there to be tormented by light, sound etc.


NEW SEQUENCE


BASEMENT
Sara and Eddie are lost but find the others


BIG REALIZATION
They are all relatives of the five who survived the house back in the day


except for BLACKBURN


BASEMENT
Blackburn with Evelyn.
They are lovers.
She was not dead.
This is all a plan to kill Price and get his money.


Evelyn kills Blackburn.


UPSTAIRS
They go looking for blackburn
find him dead
decide price did it


HOUSE
Eddie and Sara hunt for Price
Find him.
Price tries to explain that Evelyn and Blackburn are villains
Sara kills Price with the gun.


EVELYN goes to Price body to gloat
He comes back to life
Faked it
Caught her cheating
this was all to catch her
and murder her without any guilt and with no one knowing since they all already saw her die


EVELYN V. PRICE
Except there’s another presence in the room.
Price says they released the evil.


Price battles an evil being.
Loses and gets sucked below.


Eddie, Sara and Pritchett remain


A window opens partially
House twists and grows and freaks them out
House detonates and weaponizes itself
Sara sinks into the floor etc.
Floor falls away to reveal
THE EVIL DOCTOR’S VICTIM’S REMAINS


Pritchett heads to attic to find a way to open the windows maybe a pulley or something
He finds it


Doesn’t work
but he throws a fit and it opens a window three feet wide up in the attic


BASEMENT
Eddie saves Sara from the dead
Pritchett about to leave then he shouts down to them that he found the way out
One last battle with evil then…


THEY’RE OUTSIDE


CUT TO TV SHOW HOST DESCRIBING THE EVENTS
Everything returned to normal in house
No sign of what happened
No sign of Evelyn or Price
Pritchett is not surprised
Says they are part of the house now.


1930S FOOTAGE
Same as intro
But the crazed doctors
have the faces of Evelyn and Price
Pritchett VO says “It won’t stop until it’s got every one—“
