This is a weird, absurdist love story. A man meets up with an old friend who's about to kill himself. The man begs the old friend not to kill himself, because he needs to pawn off his wife on another man and he thinks the old friend is the perfect guy for the job. Ultimately, that plan works, but the man decides he wants his wife back, so he plots with her to kill the old friend by pushing him off the bridge. It's really weird and sort of like, Beckettian in a lot of ways (a lot of circularity and jabber) but I guess the thing that feels most useful from it is this sort of very simple story... A man gets exactly what he wants, then spends the rest of the play trying to reverse the fulfillment of his wish.
It's an interesting structure, and it's something I think we could steal. Very much be careful what you wish for. But on a deeper level, it's kind of like, about how people have no idea what they actually want, and how we're all very suggestible.

NOTEThese outlines are not polished and they are not politically correct. They are bare bones and often do no justice to the script or the writers of said script. Posting the outlines here so they can be easily referenced when working on new pilots. Also thought they might be helpful to other writers out there. Archives
