Sanford & Son - Pilot Outline

This is another classic show. Another example of how simplicity rules all in the multi-cam. Not in a dumb way. In an elegant way. Also these characters are well drawn and memorable. Good lesson in that too.

• meet Fred the dad and Lamont, the son. Work in a junk shop. Get history.
• Son shows dad some antique porelian they bought. Says he’s gonna sell it in Beverly hills.
• Antique shop offers 850. Son decides he wants to sell it at autction so he can get more.
• Go to auction. Alsmot sell for 1500. But then the crazy dad tries to bid up to two grand and has to buy it back himself. Then he breaks it.
• Son tries to leave, but Sanford says he’ll give him more say in the business. Pilot ends without confirmation what son is gonna do. Not even a look. But it’s confirmed in the…
