NOTE: Good comedy in this script. This is a good show to look back on when trying to execute a high concept show simply.
ACT ONE
  • meet the girls as they watch as scary movie
    • Ray pops his head in and secares them
  • Girls to camera: explain their situation
  • Flashback to when the girls almost met in a mall, but thought they were looking in a mirror. Big set piece where they keep missing each other, then they finally come face to face. “THAT GIRL HAS MY FACE!”
  • LATER – The girls realize that they’re sister
  • Girls explain that they live together now and they get along great but their parents don’t – THAT’S ALL STRAIGHT TO CAMERA
  • Scene demonstrating the parents don’t get along. He’s suburban and she’s in a sketchy hood somewhere in the city.
  • Roger meets the girls. Another awkward exchange with Lisa and Ray.

ACT TWO
  • the girls are at a bus station trying to run away together.
  • ray and lisa find them. Girls suggest they all live together but parents are skeptical.
  • Girls to camerea reveal in present day that the parents negotiated it so lisa and her kid could move in to ray’s place with his kid
  • TAG: They are all moved in together. We realize this might be difficult transition. Then Roger shows up for a laugh and it’s over.

    NOTE

These outlines are not polished and they are not politically correct. They are bare bones and often do no justice to the script or the writers of said script. Posting the outlines here so they can be easily referenced when working on new pilots.  Also thought they might be helpful to other writers out there.

    Enjoy!
