WEDDING DATE BY DANA FOX


1) Kat at home. Nervous to send plane ticket off to her bf. About to go to sister’s wedding in London. Objects in apartment let us know she’s been the London many times.
2)  the messenger drops off the ticket and the guy in the brownstone picks it up.
3) Airport sequence. She’s there for a flight but works there. We see she’s great at her job.
4) Kat on plane. Waiting for date to arrive. Reveals her EX will be best man at this wedding. Wants her date to look hot.
5) Kat in London. Nervous Nick’s tie matches her Dress. It’s too matchy. He calms her. Meanwhile he tosses some bags onto a pile of matching bags. Will this be a meaningful mix up?
6) Kat changing clothes on the train looking for a new dress to wear. She is weird about being naked. She is Type A. Overthinking. Doesn’t know what to wear.
7) CUTAWAY: meet Kat’s sister Amy, her parents, her ex, etc. All in London in pre-wedding mode.
8) WEDDING SPEECH. Mom talks. Largely about how Kat got dumped. Jeffrey (the ex) plays the mom off.
9) NEAR BATHROOM. Kat meets Jeffrey. Something inside her stirs. Cousin TJ arrives and reminds us all that Jeffrey broke up with Kat.
10) BAR. New BF seems great. Chatting with groom. Being a great guy. Also chatting with bride. All good.
11) BAR. Jeffrey tells Nick. “I’m heart broken. The girl I love is here with another guy.” Kat rolls up. WOOPS. Jeffrey realizes Nick is the other guy. Doesn’t reveal the mistake. Hurries away.
12) LATER. Nick says Jeff still likes you but you’re too good for him. Kat is clearly still into Jeff.
13) PARENT’S HOUSE. Kat and Nick staying for weekend.
14) KAT ROOM. Kat pays Nick. We realize he’s an escort, hired to make her look good and make everyone else jealous. Long conversation about it. She seems Ok with the arrangement and he’s v chill about it.
15) DOWNSTAIRS. Nick and Kat exit for a night out. Quick chat with mom about wedding planning.
16) CAR. Conversation continues, Kat has lots of questions about escorting. Nick gives her a sensual pep talk about how she’s great and will get over this guy.
17) BAR. Bachelorette vibes. Nick shows up with Kat’s purse. The ladies love him. But AMY the sister is annoyed that there’s a cock in the hen house.
18) BACHELOR PARTY. Jeff hung up on Kat. Nick is there. Jeff is like “don’t tell her I said I love her.”
19) BAR. Amy reveals she is “so so bad” and shouldn’t be allowed to get married…
20) BACHELOR PARTY. Nick jokingly says he’s a hooker and the guys laugh.
21) TOWN. Kat secretly goes to a bunch of ATMs to get more money probably to pay Nick.
22) HOME. Kat asks Amy if they need to talk about the whole “I’m so so bad thing.” Amy is kind of acting like she boned Jeff back in the day or something…
23) HOME. Kat takes Nick to the boat in the driveway. They bone. Next morning he sneaks out he has done this many times.
24) LATER. Nick discovers the cash. Says they didn’t do anything. Seems a little insulted she planned on paying though.
25) KITCHEN LATER. Parents know what happened and don’t care. Still Nick denies it, although he does tell her what it’d cost.
26) JEWELRY STORE. Jeff shows up. They argue about their break up. He is about to tell her what happened but Nick shows up. Protective. Stops Jeff in his tracks.
27) DANCE CLASS. Nick and Kat are magical. But she’s upset he challenges her and she doesn’t know anything real about him.
28) LATER. Nick says if he wasn’t an escort he’d make out with her for free. They connect a bit more. He still hasn’t told her why he does it though.
29) POKER GAME. Before wedding. Nick is wise with Kat’s dad. Nick clearly likes Kat a lot. The bad guys closing in for this movie is that real love is being born from a lie.
30) BRIDE’S ROOM. Nick goes to get her. She’s having a melt down. Freaked out that the room she’s in knows too much.
31) QUICK CUT. Jeffrey pulls Kat away for a moment conversation.
32) BACK TO BRIDE. She just told Nick something big…
33) INTERCUT JEFF/KAT AND NICK/AMY. We know Amy confessed to boning Jeff. Kat storms away before Jeff tells her anything. She walks away with Nick.
34) COUNTRYSIDE. Nick and Kat. He can’t bring himself to tell her.
35) HOUSE. Nick tells Kat’s dad he wants to date Kat. Dad is coy about it but says yes. Not clear if he knows what’s up…
36) LATER. Story about why the sisters don’t get along. Uh oh… Amy stole Kat’s bf at 14 and it’s been sour ever since…
37) LATER. Jeff tells Kat he fucked Amy.
38) LATER. Kat and Nick big fight. How could he not tell her? Oh yeah he’s a whore. And she’s lying to herself. Relationship implodes.
39) LATER. Kat tells Amy everything she wants. Tells her to go fuck herself basically. Relationship implodes. MEANWHILE. Nick books the next flight home.
40) LATER. Mom says Amy always just wanted to be with you Kat. She loved you.
41) AMY APOLOGIZES.
42) CHURCH. Amy grabs Ed to tell him truth. She fucked his best friend slash her sisters fiancé. Yikes.
43) HOME. Dad gives Kat pep talk. Go get the guy. Amy finds envelope. Nick left ALL the money behind.
44) CAR. Nick drives with carry-on next to him.
45) CHURCH. Ed chases Jeff out of church. Past Nick’s car. Nick pulls a u turn to get ed.
46) CAR. Nick talks Ed into going back to the wedding.
47) CHURCH. Nick apologizes to Kat. Says he’s the best man in the wedding now.
48) CHURCH. Kat’s speech about love and stuff.
49) Sounds of make-up sex.
