Weird Loners - Pilot Outline

There's a neighbor, there's a girl, there's a cousin, there's a free-wheeling artist. They're all weird and none of them can find love. It's a good example of interweaving stories and introducing characters in their own worlds that will soon be together.

• Caryn is very clingy with a new guy
• STOSH gets fired for fucking the boss' girl
• ZARA breaks up with a guy
• ERIC’s dad dies. He’s fucked up too.

 
ACT ONE

• Caryn with her mom. We learns she took a singles cruise to runaway from her bfs proposal
• STOSH has to break into his own house. He fails.
• Zara paints at he park. The only one night facing the view.
• We learn that Caryn lives in same building as Eric.
• Caryn enters her place , finds that her 22 yo roomie ahd some sort of sex party
• Montage: Zara packing up art supplies, Stosh all by himself with porn,  we learn that Eric’s dad was his uncle,
• Caryn agrees to go to an ‘egnagement dinner’ with the guy she was running from

 
ACT TWO
 

• STOSH shows up and talks to Eric at the old guy’s funeral
• Quick shot of Zara selling her art
• Caryn tells her mom she said yes to henry
• Stosh clearly cons Eric into letting him live there
• Eric buys a piece of Zara’s art
• Zara gives him a ride
• Caryn tries to make a happy dinner for her almost husband
• Zara and Eric hang at Erics. Stosh is surprised to see that. Then there’s an alarm fro mCaryn’s [lpace next door
• Stosh goes to help at Caryn’s. They start hooking up. Then her fiancé arrives.
• Stosh saves it by saying it was a party and inviting Eric and the others over for dinner at Caryn’s.

 
ACT THREE

• STOSH is coy at dinner
• Caryn brings Stosh to kitch and yells at him and says it’ll never happen again
• Caryn returns to dinner and dumps Howeard
• The gang catches up with Caryn in a park to help her feel better.
• They all figure out that they are weird loners
• Zara moves in with Caryn
