1. QUEENS. Meet Lucy through V.O. Learn the story of her parent’s romantic meeting. She tells us about the guy from the subway she loves.
2. BROOKLYN. Lucy breaks window with x-mas tree. Convo with landlord. He tries to set her up with his son. He’s gross.
3. DINER. Lucy’s MTA boss asks her to work X MAS. It’s her b day. But she’s the only staff without family…
4. SUBWAY: Lucy’s true love falls to platform and she saves him but he’s unconscious.
5. HOSPITAL. Lucy with guy at hospital. He’s knocked out. His family shows up. Miscommunication with staff leads everyone to believe Lucy is his fiancé.
6. LATER: Lucy debates with nurse what should I do? Lucy learns matriarch will have a heart attack if she gets big news. Lucy sticks with lie. Lucy tells the how family the ‘how I met’ story. She’s getting in deeper.
7. DINER, NEXT DAY: Lucy debates what to do. Friend JERRY convinces her she can’t do anything.
9. HOME. Family calls. Lucy aren’t you coming to the hospital?
10. HOSPITAL. Lucy invited to belated Christmas dinner by family. Lucy given Peter (coma guy) belongings.
POP TO: furniture truck. Ominous other brother on the approach.
11. NIGHT. Lucy to Peter. Talking to coma man. In love with him. Lonely.
12. LATER. She reads him a fairy tale. Tries kissing him like Snow White. He does not wake up.
13. PETER’S PLACE. Voicemail. It’s Ashley. Coming home early. And YES she’ll marry him.
NOTE: The truth is bearing down upon her.
14. SAUL’S CAR: Saul picks Lucy up for dinner. He’s protective/suspicious but nice.
15. FAMILY HOUSE. Lucy and family opening gifts.
POP TO. That truck is still bearing down. Ominous.
16. IN TRUCK. Meet brother Jack. Begin sequence. Crashes truck. Goes home. Lucy is sleeping. Jack learns about Lucy. Says “That’s not Peter’s fiancé.”
17. MORNING. Lucy wakes up. Has to sneak out of house before Jack meets her. Locks him in his room. Gets out just in time.
18. POP TO HOSPITAL: Lucy meets a Peter co worker. Learns he was “king of the loopholes.” Learns he had an accident w/ basketball last month. CUT TO:
19. PETER’S PLACE: Lucy finds his address and keys with his stuff. Goes there. Fancy apartment. Sleeps on bed.
20. CHURCH. Whole family there. Jack shows up late. Argues with dad. Reveals Peter hadn’t been talking to any of them. But Jack is convinced this is not Peter’s fiancé, Ashley Bacon is.
21. LUCY’S BUILDING. Jack goes there. Creepy neighbor tells her he’s dating Lucy. This is another POP.
22. PETER’S PLACE. Jack sneaks inside. Lucy is there. She sprays him with hair spray.
23. GARAGE: Lucy needs to drive Jack to hospital. No idea which is Peter’s car. Gets lucky.
24. DRIVING. Jack questions Lucy. Why no ring etc. She handles it.
25. HOSPITAL. Jack keeps grilling her. She reveals she knows Peter has one testicle. (She learned this earlier from the work friend while discussing the accident.)
26. HOSPITAL HALL. Lucy and nurse talk. They agree it’s time for Lucy to come clean.
27. LUCY’S. Joe Jr. throwing game. Saul shows up. Says he knows her secret. Doesn’t want her to tell anyone. It’s best for her AND the family.
28. LUCY’S PLACE. Jack shows up. More questioning. She rushes him outside to avoid Joe Junior.
29. PROSPECT PARK. They take a walk. They slip in the ice. It’s cute. Learns he wants to open a restaurant. She smiles as he walks away…
30. HOSPITAL. Peter’s fingers move.
31. PLANE. Ashley rides the plane.
32. JACK SEQUENCE: Invites her to see his restaurant that’s not open yet. Fall in love. Talk about her dad. Talk about their dreams.
33. SUBWAY. Little Mary shows up. Talks about Peter and wedding. Co worker is like What? Secret wedding? Little Mary listens carefully.
34. HOME. Lucy has a gift from Jack that relates to their prior conversation. It’s a snow globe of Italy which is a place she wants to see.
35. NEXT SEQUENCE. More love stuff while Peter is in a coma at the hospital. Another nice date.
36. JACK GETS HOME. Learns “Lucy is pregant.” Little Mary heard it at the station.
37. LUCY’S. Jack pulls up to talk. But he sees Lucy with Joe Jr. Assumes that’s the baby daddy. Leaves.
38. HOSPITAL. Jack learns Lucy won’t be there that day because she has NYE plans.
39. JACK LUCY SEQUENCE. Lucy goes to co worker party. Jack follows her. Confronts her a bout pregnant. Confesses his love for her. They kiss at midnight as NYE fireworks explode.
40. FAMILY HOUSE. Little Mary suspicious when Jack says he was with Lucy. Jack starting to feel guilty. Is he stealing his brother’s fiancé?
41. WITH FRIEND. Lucy contemplates coming clean.
42. FAMILY HOUSE. Jack yells that Peter doesn’t love any of them. Lucy follows him out. They fight. She tries to confess. He doesn’t get the message. He drives away.
43. ASHLEY’S. Peter’s REAL fiancé is back in town.
44. MISSING EACH OTHER SEQUENCE.  Jack and Lucy upset after fight. He rushes to her. But just when they’re about to come together the family shows up… PETER IS AWAKE FROM HIS COMA! Lol at the irony in this movie.
45. HOSPITAL. Peter wakes. Doesn’t remember Lucy. They assume it’s amnesia. Peter proves he remembers tons of other stuff. Granny has a half heart attack, must avoid shocks. Peter learns Lucy is also pregnant. Peter freaks out.
46. OFFICE. Ashley talks to receptionist. We don’t hear but we see her freak out and run toward the elevator.
47. HOSPITAL. Lucy tries to admit to Peter the truth. He thinks she’s just being sweet. LATER. Jack tells Peter to appreciate how special Lucy is. Then they fight about “Did Peter kill Jack’s fish?” Peter says he’s moving the wedding up.
48. MEANWHILE. Saul overhears a mistaken conversation. Thinks he hears a doctor saying Peter is dying.
49. WORK. Lucy invites her friend Jerry to the wedding. She’s doing it because he’s dying. And because she can’t give up the Conlon’s as family.
50. FAMILY HOUSE. Lucy confesses love to Jack from the street to his bedroom window. He pushes her away b/c that’s what’s best for his brother. She leaves. (Another weak example of her confessing the lie and being misunderstood.)
51. HOSPITAL. Wedding is underway. Saul learns Peter is not really dying. He objects to the wedding. So does everyone else. Lucy explains everything. Says thank you for being my family, I fell in love with all of you. She plans to travel now. She leaves.
52. APARTMENT. Lucy packs up. She’s moving.
53. WORK AT SUBWAY STATION. Jack shows up with entire family. Proposes.
54. CHAPEL. Jack and Lucy get married.
55. WEDDING PARTY. Concluding voice over. Lucy and Jack went to Florence together. Lucy says Peter asked when did you fall for Jack. Lucy said “It was while you were sleeping.”
